I presume, as a proud Englishman, that you'll be doing your bit and travelling to the frontier in Europe to shoot these people, or at the very least, fit them with tracking devices?

No, you'll probably just stay where you are and do some exploitation of your own.

Re: British-born Jihadists targeted and killed by British drones in Syria...
Just track illegal immigrants closely and don't give them any benefits and they will no longer want to enter illegally they will wait their turn many of them can probably scam their way in legally.

The USA doesn't need it its a bit of a longshot suggestion but Europe does.

Re: British-born Jihadists targeted and killed by British drones in Syria...
Anyone who doesn't think these people should be shot if they try and enter England illegally is an embarrassment. You can't get to England from Africa these criminals are nothing but invaders there is a reason why Britain is so soft shame on you only a little over a century ago the United Kingdom ruled the planet.

If it was America and Mexicans and south American peoples camped out on our border you'd have rednecks driving 1000 miles in their trucks with thier guns ready to shoot.

I think every African who enters Europe illegally needs to be equipped with a tracking device as well.

The only thing worse than the islamic invaders are their sympathizers just pathetic that people think its OK and worse that noone wants to do anything about it.

Those poor, innocent, peaceful muslims are just rightly protesting about not being free to exploit better aid elsewhere in europe.

Sure it's aggressive, but they're probably all suffering some heinous war syndrome and are still in fear of their lives not being as good as they demand that they are owed.

Generally the people living in regimes where they have little or nothing of what we would recognise as human rights. Regardless of any political benefits to anyone else those are the people who benefit most under that scenario.

"Go in wholeheartedly and effect genuine and permanent change", for whose benefit is this change?

neilalex 6:36 Tue Sep 8
Re: British-born Jihadists targeted and killed by British drones in Syria...
It is if you have the power and will to do it. The US certainly possesses the former. I'd simply make the point that it's all or nothing. Either go in whole heartedly and effect genuine and permanent change, or, as you suggest, stay the fuck out.

Neil - I believe you have the perfect plan. Wish the world was like that but it's not - certainly the middle east is not.

The only long term solution is to involve Russia and try to civilise the regional powers. Def keep away from the region.

Re: British-born Jihadists targeted and killed by British drones in Syria...
Possibly it is. It's all morally bankrupt hence the fact that a cunt like Mugabe is tolerated. That being said I really can't shed a tear for the Saddam regime. Regarding infrastructure, its more about giving people a viable stake in their society than anything else, as opposed to them being slaves, The political system, the judiciary, police and military need to reflect this. Otherwise, logically what is being said is that the country can only work as long as its people are treated like slaves, and capable of being killed/tortured/ imprisoned at a whim.

So you destroy the infrastructure to then rebuild it? I don't get that neil.

Probably best to let dictators stay in power and not supply them deadly weapons or indeed visit them in their tents etc...

neilalex 6:14 Tue Sep 8
Re: British-born Jihadists targeted and killed by British drones in Syria...
All kinds of reasons, mainly oil and middle east politics, the two being obviously and inextricably linked. None of the reasons were especially defensible, but then again, Saddam's regime was hardly a good thing for the Iraqis in general. Less good, admittedly, was the power vacuum left behind.

You have to go the whole hog. Wipe out the current regime then stick around for years and years supporting the implementation of what is effectively a new social order. This will almost always involve years of casualties suffered from 'terrorist' supporters of the old regime, or a new mob wanting a piece of the action.

Hospitals, schools, infrastructure, trade. It's a colossal job.

Re: British-born Jihadists targeted and killed by British drones in Syria...
Rio - what reason was there to invade Iraq? After all that decision led to where we are today.

I mean the massive displacement of people was not an accident was it? As was the mini adventure in Libya.

Maybe a good idea to identify a valid reason to invade.
